It arrives immediately after I have clicked on "View Your Posts", and is resolved by an immediate refresh of the screen, using the F5 function key.
Since no-one else has reported it, perhaps it is due to a local condition, such as "My laptop" or "my library's WiFi connection".
A peculiarity of the Toronto weather patterns. My guess.
Or all of the above.

... and so having hurdled the WiFi problem with a few scratches, I realise that I haven't had this SQL error in, I suspect, two years at least, so perhaps The Lounge has upgraded software - or I am using a newer laptop, better Windows installation.

Well I got another one around 11:35 a.m. EST (Toronto/New Yotk time).
Over the past two days this error has cropped up about half a dozen times.
I get it sometimes on "Preview", sometimes on "Submit" and just now when I chose "Reply".
Is it me?
Is anyone else seeing the error ?
Thanks, Chris

It's a problem with the Web site. It's annoying but a refresh usually works.

The first pic was new to me, but I only saw it once a few days ago.
The second pic is an old friend, the SQL thing, but he may have been slightly different before in his exact appearance. He has been visiting a bit more often the last few days
They never stay long.

( It might be a coincidence, but we at excelfox have had some crawling bot for a while making a couple of thousand of views . He exceled himself this mornig at about 10.45 (German Time) making over 7000 at once. The server people suspened us for a few hours until he went away. He's back, but not overdoing it just now... I don't really know what he is about. It says something about amazon for his IP address. Maybe he want to sell us something, like the service of going away if we pay him?

I seriously don’t ever try to annoy. Maybe I am just the kid that missed being told about the King’s new magic suit, :(

We're being visited by an unusually high number of guests. I suspect that causes the problem.
Best wishes,
Hans

Just got it again (and no, I’m not just trying for a promotion in rank!)

So shouldn't us fee-paying regulars get some sort of precedence?

Sometimes a group of guests uses the same IP address or range of IP addresses. In that case, we can do something about it.
But this time, they come from many different IP addresses. That makes it difficult to manage them.
Best wishes,
Hans
