The important thing that changed is that we are HERE!

I refer you to a verse from Robert Browning's much apostrophied poem 'Pippa Passes':

The year's at the spring,
And day's at the morn;
Morning's at seven;
The hill-side's dew-pearled;
The lark's on the wing;
The snail's on the thorn;
God's in his Heaven -
All's right with the world!

You can insert the wave smilie as follows: :wave: results in :wave:
However, as you see, it's not the correct one. Mike knows about the problem and will work on it when he has time.
Best wishes,

It did during the testing phase but we're hosted elsewhere now - on Cumulus #9 as Leif noted.

You can see the correct one here (it's called thewave.gif):

Aww, what the heck, I'll say it and hope I don't get in trouble for it. A long, long time ago, I downloaded a complete set of smilies and flags from the pre-IPB Lounge. It also included the HTML code that used to show in the old, old smilies window. The only thing I changed in the HTML was to remove the javascript that used to insert them in posts and my page just shows the image if you click on one. The wave was one of the few that I "corrected" in addition to Skitterbug's missing coffeetime and a couple of others like time. Here's the page on my domain, in case anyone wants to use it or in case Mike can use anything from there. This new Lounge is EXCELLENT for the smilie work that HAS been done and so I hope no one takes offense at my posting this:

Modified Old Old Smilies (The page title is wrong. It says what the old javascript used to do, but it's only good for copying the URL. I'm an rank amateur at such stuff!)

With the possible exception of our DNS server which was swallowed by the snake and can now be heard ticking if you allow it to get too close.

I don't know what ver this board is, but I run a slightly older ver of the same board and most popular bots (like Google) were were set to "allow" by default. You might want to check it.

Thanks Mike, all permissions have already been taken away from the Bots usergroup (which is hidden).

(We're running phpBB 3.0.6, by the way)
Best wishes,

I'm here, Chris. But I don't expect to be exercising my special talent of irritating the admins by my very existence here. Come to think of it, there's not much call for my gadfly act over there any more, either.

Which means that as soon as the excitement of coming home has passed, I'll likely go back to my old wallflower ways, happy to absorb what's going on from behind the fern in the corner.

On a completely unrelated matter, is there a future possibility of implementing a pedantry filter, in place of a bad word filter? :innocent:
