Photo to be used as avatar
How can the pixels in a file containing a photo be reduced so it can be uploaded as your avatar?

You can use most graphics programs to resize a picture, for example:
FastStone Image Viewer
IrfanView
(both are free)
If you have difficulties, you can attach a picture here, and someone will resize it for you.

Microsoft Office Picture Manager can also do this well. (It may already be on your PC!)
- Choose Edit Picture
- Then Resize (by pixel or %)

In addition, you may have a picture that already meets the 90 x 90 dimension BUT exceeds the 10K file size limit. In that case you might have to do some "compression" or other adjustments to the file to see if you can get it down to under the 10K ceiling.JudyJones wrote:How can the pixels in a file containing a photo be reduced so it can be uploaded as your avatar?
As already suggested, you might attach the file to a post and see if one of us can help you.

Re: Photo to be used as avatar
Thanks for everyone's help. I downloaded the FastStone Image Viewer and was able to reduce the pixels to the required amount. Hans, Regarding the email issue. I submitted a request to the people who handle that and will have to follow up again with them.
