Easy sailing for the Maxi's but not so good for those following at slower paces. With all the technology used these days, I am wondering how long it will be before such sporting events no longer need human interference ... will save much on food and clothes washing/drying

It must be difficult getting clothes to dry when the washing line is matching the wind-speed.
OTOH they wouldn't have to carry as many sails, would they?
