Way back when, I found PowerToys a great find. I see it is being offered for Win 10, but some sites seem to suggest that it can also be used on Win 8 systems. Is that true?
Thank you.

Re: PowerToys Windows 8.1
Here are the requirements from the PowerToys GitHub page:
"requirements:
Windows 10 1803 (build 17134) or later.
Have .NET Core 3.1 Desktop Runtime. The installer should handle this but we want to directly make people aware."

Thanks for your reply. As mentioned in original post, other sites seem to suggest it could be run with Win 8. IF I tried to, could I harm anything, do you think?

You can always try it. The required .NET Core 3.1 Runtime is compatible with Windows 8.1, so that shouldn't be a problem.
Best wishes,

What are these other sites?
If you want to try I recommend you make an image backup of your system before you install. That way, you can always recover if there is a disaster.
