W10 Update and Intel Optane error fix

Post by Leif »

After updating to Windows 10 version 2004, every time I opened Windows Explorer I was getting an "Intel Optane(tm) Memory Pinning: Unable to load DLL" error popping up. I also had an unknown device showing in Devices and Printers which troubleshooter couldn't help with.

Intel Optane(tm) Memory Pinning: Unable to load DLL describes the error and resolution perfectly.

(I have a Dell OptiPlex 7460 AIO, but I believe this can apply to various makes and models.)

Three cheers for Leif; explanation & solution in one post (and a short and clearly expressed topic).

I've got your back.jpg
(Did I understand things correct that you get an error if you don't have it (Intel's fancy Optane), and one if you do; well done covering all bases.)
