Stop automatic conversion of web addresses to hyperlinks

Post by jmt356 »

Whenever I type an open angle bracket (<) followed by a web address followed by a closed angle bracket (>) followed by a period, the address turns into a hyperlink. Is it possible to stop this behavior? I want to continue having web addresses turn into hyperlinks when they are not typed in between angle brackets, but not when they are typed between angle brackets
Regards,

JMT

If you want to keep converting web addresses to hyperlinks automatically, you can't avoid the behavior that you describe.
Press Ctrl+Z after unwanted conversions to undo them.
Best wishes,

Try:

Code: Select all

Sub M_snb()
   Options.AutoFormatAsYouTypeReplaceHyperlinks = False
End Sub

About the best you can do is click Undo after an unwanted conversion.

Try doing this without the brackets and leave out the http:// or the https:// and they will not be links.
