Got Cable?
Is there a cable that connects from a USB3 external drive directly to a network switch (Cat5)? Just wondering if I can bypass the USB connection.

Re: Got Cable?
I doubt it - something needs to wrap the data into TCP/IP and that takes a bit of hardware and software. Does your router have a USB port?

Re: Got Cable?
Leif,
My router does have a USB2 port. I can connect the external drive to the port but read/write to the external drive is slow. I have a powered USB3 hub currently attached to the USB2 port but 2.0 is the bottleneck.

Re: Got Cable?
Then I think your easiest option is going to be to find a router with a USB3 port, I'm afraid.
