how to import files
Having upgraded my computer, the techie failed to save all my favorites and email addresses but I "somehow" - prior to the change over - created a folder containing the email files but they have the file extension .dbx which windows cannot open. Is it possible to access these files and somehow import them back into O.E. without going down the long road of copying & pasting them one at a time from a Word doc that I also save them in please? Thanks very much. Dave.

Re: how to imort files
See Restore Outlook Express Mail Folders from a Backup Copy for the first step of an illustrated tutorial. Don't forget to click Next when you've performed this step. There are 7 steps in all.
Best wishes,
Hans

I have moved this thread from the Outlook forum to the Windows (Live) Mail/Outlook Express forum since it is about Outlook Express.

Re: how to import files
Hi Dave.......yes OE is installed and I am still running XP, Office 2003, SP3. as it does everything I want. Not yet got round to trying the remedy suggested by Hans 24th Jan post as I am grappling with the other anomaly regarding the earphone socket on the front of the tower which seems to be dead. Regards Dave.
