Audio - OneDrive

Post by curious »

I created an Audio folder while still using Windows 10. I transferred the folder to Win 11, OneDrive.. When I tried to listen to recordings, this appeared: C:\USERS\[myname]\Desktop\AUDIO\[title of song] mp3
No such interface supported.
Can you please explain what know what this means-and how to correct it.
My thanks

Do you use the same account email & password on 10 & 11 pcs?
If it wasn't for bad luck I'd have NO luck at all.

Sorry, I have never used Onedrive for audio, I keep mine on an HDD or USB.

Have you set up the media player in Win 11? Or have you set a default media player?

"Hmm. What does this button do?" Said everyone before being ejected from a car, blown up, or deleting all the data from the mainframe.

Hi, Kim
Have done neither. Forgive my ignorance, but need I set a media player to listen to those audios that are on OneDrive?

JoeP - thanks, will look into those suggestions.

Yes, you need a media player as the files are played locally regardless of where they reside. Go to Settings | Apps | Default Apps. You can search for the mp3 file type to see what is set as the default player and set it there if necessary.

Have set up Media Player and happily using my Audio from OneDrive.

I cannot figure out how to 'pin' the OneDrive Audio folder so I don't have to go back to OneDrive/Open Folder each time I listen to a song. Thank you for your help.

If you want to pin the folder to the Taskbar see How to pin almost anything to the Windows 11 taskbar.

Hi, Joe -

Unfortunately, only options are pin to taskbar or start menu. Not to desktop...

The first step in pinning a folder to the taskbar is creating a desktop shortcut. Won't that work?
