Update KB5000842

Post by RonH »

I have been holding off installing this optional update:
2021-03 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 10 Version 20H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5000842)

Normally I install these when notified but with my recent printer issues from updates :flee:
Any failures, resulting from this update, on members printers?

I have installed it without problems, but in general, you can ignore the "Preview" updates. They will be incorporated in a later "normal" update.
Best wishes,
Hans

I installed it on one laptop, just out of interest. Other PCs are waiting for the full release.

Just installed the Windows 10 Apr updates (after creating a Restore Point) and, yes, this prior option was incorporated. So I learn something every day
Interestingly (or not) the printer still functioned but HP Smart needed a couple of reboots.
