I have a need to revert one of my computers that a Microsoft support technician forced me to update to Win. 10 ver. 20H2. And then a level 2 technician tried running a repair and he could not but promised to call me back and did not. That is the 10th time they have broken their promise to me. Before he went he ran a Disk Cleanup and I saw him tell it to delete previous Windows installation files. I do still have a version 2004 Media Installation tool. Can I use that to re-install version 2004. He could not run a repair because the only option available to him was to wipe out all my files and apps. I do not want that to happen.
He also ran a Restore Point, I believe, before deleting those files. If I can run a successful restore will that bring back the previous windows installations files? If so how would I then revert to version 2004?
Version 20H2 was installed from an ISO file that they put on my machine.
Thanks

Why do you want to revert to Windows 10 version 2004? I haven't experienced any problems with version 20H2.
Best wishes,
Hans

Because the second level MS support tech tried to do a repair and keep my files and apps. He could not and never called me back as promised with a solution. If there were some way to run that repair and keep my files that would be fine too but there does not seem to be. So I was hoping that getting back to version 2004 I could run that repair.
It is all part of fixing what was posted here: https://eileenslounge.com/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=35640.

You can reset Window. You'll get the option to keep all your documents, but all applications will be removed. You'd have to reinstall each and every one of them.

What do you mean "reset windows?" I'm not familiar with that term.
I just want to run a repair if I can. That is why I wanted to try to re-install version 2004.

If you select Start > Settings > Update & Security > Recovery, you'll see an option Reset this PC.
Click Get Started, and you'll get two options:
If you want to keep your files, choose the first one.
Windows will be reinstalled, and all your applications will be uninstalled. Windows will place a HTML file on your desktop with a list of all uninstalled applications.

"Hmm. What does this button do?" Said everyone before being ejected from a car, blown up, or deleting all the data from the mainframe.
