MS Windows Search Index is taking up significant CPU resources. It is pushing my CPU usage above 95% and causing my computer to slow down significantly.
In Task Manager, I right-click it and select End Task. However, MS Windows Search Index pops right back up. Is it possible to pause / stop the process? I do not see MS Windows Search Index in the Services app.

It appears this method has worked to pause search indexing:
- In Start, type Indexing Options;
- Click Pause.
- In Start, type Indexing Options;
- Click Pause.
