import Win 7 sticky notes to Win 10 1803

I took a copy of a users Win 7 sticky notes file, which is called:
StickyNotes.snt

I then followed the instructions here:

which was written for Win 10 1607 (aka Anniversary Update) but it doesn't do anything. As mentioned in one of the comments I ensured the .snt file did not have the 'Hidden' attribute set.

I guess that means this hidden conversion feature of 1607 has been removed from 1803. In which case anyone know how to get Win 10 1803 to read a Win 7 Sticky Notes file?

This feature was apparently removed in the Fall Creators Update (Windows 10 version 1709).

Do you know someone who still has version 1703 or 1607? You could ask them to convert the .snt file to plum.sqlite, then transfer that file to the PC with version 1803.

The Sticky Notes app is built into Windows 10, but it uses a different file format than Windows 7...

In the link to the Stick Notes Manager there is a thread which says the conversion still works for 1709. It is important to note that Sticky Notes will attempt to convert only once. If you've already opened Sticky Notes you need to go to Settings | Apps and reset Sticky Notes. Remember this will delete all the user data. You need a copy of the original .snt file. Do NOT open Sticky Notes after the reset. Here's the steps from the linked article:

1.) Close Sticky Notes.
2.) Go to PC Settings > System > Apps & Features > Sticky Notes > Advanced Options > Reset. All app data will be deleted.
3.) Do not open Sticky Notes app now.
4.) Navigate to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftStickyNotes_8wekyb3d8bbw\LocalState
5.) Create Folder within \LocalState called "Legacy"
6.) Copy the Notes.snt to the Legacy folder and rename it "ThresholdNotes.snt"
7.) Start Sticky Notes.
All notes should now appear!!!

There are comments from May 2018 saying this procedure works.

That might be the problem. I'll report back again tomorrow - unless the user in question has already, manually, recreated all their sticky notes.
