And now this!
BBC News - Users frustrated by Apple iOS update

I particularly enjoyed the line: "Apple has also removed apps for its new health software because of a bug."

Poor thing - I hope it gets better soon...

Agreed...maybe Geoff wrote that article....

I have upgraded my iPhone and iPad using iTunes. Both upgrades went through without a hitch. I'm not sure if the free space issue is only applicable if you upgrade over the air? Though my iPad had ample free space, my phone only had about 4.5 gigs of free space, but still, the upgrade went though great.

I updated my iPad over the air. I did not realize I could update using iTunes. How would I go about doing that?

Thanks, Rudi. I probably would have updated using iTunes had I been aware its feasibility.

Hi Paul,

Yes, I prefer this method of upgrading. It is faster and more stable than OTA.
Another advantage using iTunes is that you can choose to ONLY download the update file (*.ipsw).

So doing, you can have the current version and the newer version and have the choice of reverting back to the previous version if you don't like the newer. (I like options  )...

Just found this very good article from C-Net about iOS-8.
Worth browsing through if applicable.
