Candied Orange Peel

Post by ChrisGreaves »

I just don’t understand why people don’t use (preserve and use) orange peel. It’s good to nibble, and can be dropped in drinks, cookies, salads; In just about anything.

I love it in bed!
So. A jar for somebody’s Christmas present, and a jar for – Oh! I don’t know. Perhaps my bedside table.

Have you seen what this does to one's blood sugar count?

Sometimes just the fruit is bad enough, let alone all of the candied sugar on the peel!

Well, Dave, It's funny you should ask.
For the heck of it I weigh myself each morning, take my blood pressure when I think about it, and check my Blood Sugar once a week. (I'm focused only on my weight, since my Doctor says he doesn't want to see me for another year ...)

Sometimes, just to tick myself off I'll have a strong coffee and a handful of raisins then take my Pressure and Sugar; it sure sends them off the (Excel) chart. So I don't do it very often.

My more favorite pastime is to weigh myself three times (to average) and then go for a two-hour walk and weigh myself on return, just to see how much water I have shed.

I thought one went for a walk in Toronto to soak up water instead of shedding it - see Serendripity.
Best wishes,
Hans
