peppadew peppers

Goodness, these things are addictive--very, very good!!!!!

We discovered them at Macaroni Grill, on their appetizer list. Now my quest is to (1) find a supply--can't find them in local grocery stores and (2) find out if I can grow them in Middle TN.

Any ideas?

As far as supply, I found this site, but it seems awful expensive:

$39 for 17.5 lbs is not too bad - that comes out to about $2.30 per lb. The price for a container of about 1 lb in local supermarkets here in The Netherlands is higher.

You can't buy peppadew seeds officially, since it is a protected trademark. Garden centers should have seeds for similar peppers though.
