Ralink RT 5390 WiFi Adaptor

Post by RonH »

A notification came up on my W10 (updated W7) HP pc this morning stating that I need to restart to account for changes. I have checked the 'Update Driver' facility that shows I have the latest driver. I have not made any changes to the best of my knowledge and the WiFi/internet are functioning correctly.
Should I reboot or avoid (somehow) this so called update?

Could Windows update have made a change? What do you see in the event logs for the last 24 hours?

Hei Stuart,
Can't see anything specific in the tables. Maybe I should just 'go ahead' and reboot ... but first setting a Restore Point?

Reboot it, Ron.
They slipped in a update on you at some point.

Sorted :clapping:
Seems it must have been some kind of update offered in the past ... though the 'new' driver has the same reference as the 'old'. No worries, all is functioning.
