Visio fails to save

I've created a diagram in Visio 2007 (12.0.6676.5000, SP3, MSO) running Windows 7 Ultimate. The diagram Visio title is Drawing1. When I click File > Save As, nothing happens. When I click File > Save, Search Everything can't find Drawing1 on my hard drive. When I search for *.vsd and sort by date, my most recent Visio file is from last month.

I see the following in a Visio post (diana, Post 92652):

I applied the following and rebooted the pc
1. Installed hotFix-Visio KB2597953
2. Installed Service Pack 3 for Visio - KB2526291

But I don't want to apply hotfixes and reboot, forcing me to quit Visio, for fear of losing my diagram.

Belarc Advises that I am current on Hotfixes from Microsoft Update, last install 5/17/2013 3:01:49 AM. But the KBs above are not in my list. However SP3 does show up under Help > About Visio.

Any suggestions?

Edited to add: When trying to create a PDF file from my Belarc results, my system crashed. I'll now see what Visio brings up, if anything.

Diagram has vanished into hyperspace.

Edited to add: Visio's File > Save As behavior now works as expected.

I feared that you were going to lose this diagram.

It was probably just a temporary glitch in the application...

The standard recommendation for situations like this is:

1) Quit and restart the application to see if the problem goes away.
2) If not, restart Windows to see if the problem goes away.
3) If not, try to repair the installation of the application from the Programs and Features control panel.

None of these would have preserved your diagram.

Thanks for the condolences. At least I printed the darn thing before crashing.
