I hope you will forgive me paying homage to a fellow Kentuckian and military veteran. This young man received our nation's highest military honor today from our president, the Medal of Honor, for his heroism of a couple of years ago. The mind boggles at what he went through to save his comrades under horrific conditions.
If I ever have to have someone "watching my back," I would hope it would be someone like our Kentucky farm boy, Dakota Meyer!

What's to forgive, Al? We all should be proud of this young man.

Re: An American Tribute
There are some in the world who find America's warrior ways distasteful (if not worse). I'm not among them, for I believe that fighting for what you value is a noble thing to do. I think perhaps Al might have been asking forgiveness of those who might be offended, as I do. Having said that, I couldn't agree more, Big Al.
He is an amazing young man - 23 years old. At that age I barely knew how to dress myself.
Kudos to Sgt. Meyer - a true hero and a Great American!
