I'm not sure I'll ever be able to own a smartphone for that very reason.

My understanding is that smudges come from squashing midges and other bugs, but Java smears, well, ....

Can you imagine the trauma I suffer at work when ever someone comes over to my desk and points at either of my two, very shiny, 22" wide screen monitors? I haven't yet had to resort to pinning up a banner that says, "Touch these screens and you die!" but...

I keep an unsharpened pencil with a good eraser nearby to hand to screen-touchers. So far no one has damaged a pixel with it...

Somehow, I always pictured you as a mild mannered, Clark Kentish sort of fellow (albeit with 6 fingers on each hand). There's another illusion shattered!

Except that he doesn't have the NEW YORK version as it sounds:

"You toucha my screen? I breaka YOU face!" (there's no 'r' spoken orally)

By the way, the stylus I bought for $5 bucks is doing a good job for my fumble-fingered use of the touchscreen.

Since I bought a three-pack, I gave one to my son who also has a touchscreen and one in reserve.

:jollyroger: I once left a note on a new employee's desk that read: "If you leave your cubicle light on again after 5, we start breaking your fingers."

Many of you Loungers know this employee by the Lounge Name I now use for her, "The Bride." But that relationship didn't happen until about seven years after I wrote the note.
