Post by Jezza »

The fear that somewhere, somehow, a duck is watching you.

Young Oliver peruses the garden and can't help thinking "Who's watching who?"

Anatidaephobia has to be the word of the day/week!

What is 'fear of being watched by a cat'? Daeinatiphobia?

By the way, this cartoon by Gary Larson is where the word "anatidaephobia" was introduced.

The term "Anatidaephobia" has a worrying similarity to the highly-justified but UK-only AntAndDecaphobia...

A phobia is an 'irrational' fear, but the man in the cartoon has a legitimate concern.
