Compiled Smilies List

Post by Don Wells »

The attached file is provided for those amongst us (you know who you are), that are sufficiently gifted to prefer using the keyboard over the point and shoot technique.

Thanks Don.
Attached is a text version of the flagless "All Smilies", in alphabetic sequence with the colons removed.

P.S. Coming Soon:-
A statistical package, written in VBA, that helps you decide which smile to use based on your history of past usage, just to make sure we even out the load. to Don, (grin) for everyone else.

... and just to keep The Team on its toes, attached is a list of abbreviations, most of which do not yet appear in Eileen's lounge ( and (grin))

Just to add to the choices, something I've posted earlier in the year. I have a web page with the copied smilies from the old, old Lounge. Obviously, I had to change the code since clicking one will NOT add it to a post you're making.

Now, if you click on one, you can copy its URL and include it in a post with the IMG tag.

I'm the original searcher on Google for "refrigerator blindness" but i didn't find any hits!
Actually, I have a slightly different 9UK/AUS/CAN) vocabulary from the smiley list compiler, so I am on the right track when I key in "thankyou", I just think "thankyou" rather than "thanks". Likewise "Duh!" rather than "Doh".

I rather think that the equivalent of my old BBS days "G&DR" translates to "flee".

"A literature review using the search terms "blindness," "sightlessness," "loss of sight," "refrigerator," "Frigidaire" and "hereditary difficulty" for the years 1994–2004 yielded no case reports or genome-mapping references to refrigerator/fridge blindness in children or adults. We believe therefore that we report a previously undescribed condition."

I rest my case!
