A Question for the Brits

Post by BobH »

Is it still possible to get a set of the old coins, pre-decimalisation? Farthing, penny, shilling, et al? If so, what would one have to pay for the set? Not looking for collector condition, just curious about availability andrelative costs.

I've probably got a few cousins you can have for £20 each.

Otherwise, a quick Google would appear to show that just about anything is available at Ebay:

Thanks, Leif!

But, I'll pass on the cousins as I have dozens of my own.

I dunno!

I'd have to track a few down from out in the sticks, clean 'em up, and teach to speak the Queen's English before I could pass one off on Leif. :flee:
