a house for my son?

Post by stuck »

stuckling2 has come across a property that has caught his imagination because the description of it mentions:
...points of interest include the full organ with podium on the top level...
Sadly, it's over 80 miles from where he lives now and has a price tag beyond him.

He could start a crowd-funding action...

Perhaps he could move it closer to where he now lives?

The house or the organ? The house is a terraced house, so that's a non-starter and the house he's living in at the moment is a rental property so relocating organ might not go down too well with the landlord (or the neighbours  )

Thanks for the suggestions though

Hi Ken.
If thanks are being handed out for free, I'll stand in line:-

Stuck2 is a bright lad. Let him organize himself.
You're welcome

I can just imagine Stuckling2 in a house with an organ.

"So a neighbour knocked on the door at 3 am. How rude and inconsiderate! Fortunately for me, I was already awake, playing my pipe organ".

The York Minster organ has just been refurbished, so maybe he can move into a side chapel, and get up to play the organ any time he wants? :fanfare: [organ simulation!]

It's an idea but have you not been in York Minster? Even in summer he'd freeze to death.

Perhaps he could wear a wetsuit? Or two pullovers instead of one?!

Why not send your 'junior' to Rudesheim on the Rhine, Germany where he could choose an antique organ of suitable dimensions. Though I'm not sure that they come with neighbourhood friendly headphones :flee:

You don't need to go that far, if you really want an organ in your house that can be organised :groan: here in the UK, just Google 'house organ for sale uk' and take your pick.

He could move here and take the organ with him, cheap and the neighbours won't complain.

A large pipe organ in "a single-room stone building". Hmmm...
Best wishes,

Just a matter of sound compression, to produce the 'quality' of an MP3 file...

I think I've found a proper organ for Stuckling2 to incorporate in his new mansion...

(If he gets tired of having a mere five manuals, there's one with six!)

That would require a Scottish Baronial Mansion!

:whisper: Perhaps this?
