My zoom has a max focal length of 250 mm, but the sensor is not a full 35 mm frame so in real money it's equivalent to a 400 mm lens. Add on the crop and it must be equivalent to at least 600 mm...

Turns out the crop makes this shot an equivalent focal length of about 1200 mm.
