OK, BobArch!
I quit doing my rain dance.
I haven't found out yet how to fix the widget but I have sent a query to Weather Underground.

Maybe they have gone underground? Just an observation.

Re: Deep in the heart of Texas
I have the Weather Underground app on my phone, and I noticed a couple of weeks ago that its startup screen now says "An IBM Business". Maybe Big Blue failed to see the merit of supplying this forum with constant updates on the weather and time in Texas.

OK! I removed the weather bug. I'm still looking for one that I can include in my signature but without success.

Re: Deep in the heart of Texas
The Clear Outside one is good if you need an hourly forecast. I use it in my signature on an astronomy forum.
Change the curly brackets to square brackets.

You will need to edit the longitude and latitude figures as well unless you need to know what the weather is like where I live!
Looks like I'll be getting my telescope out on Tuesday night!
Regards
Graeme
