Nah, I'll be away from home more frequently the next few months. Browsing from a smart phone is somewhat limiting, so I decided to get a laptop.

Good choice! At a height of 6' 4" with large hands I have always found the screen keyboard of the smartphone a real challenge! A laptop is definitely the way to go. Since I still wanted it to be compact and light, I got a Dell XPS 13. It weighs only 2.9 pounds (1.3 kg).
