A lovely day! It's overcast and grey here today...

How was the clifftop path? When I was there 9 years ago it was very wet and muddy...
Best wishes,
Hans

It was OK, I just wore trainers, didn't need proper walking boots. Here's an inland view.

PS We had the grey and wet yesterday, must have crossed the North Sea overnight.

Nice pic. Are those two boats on the water?

Another question; is this private land on which permission is granted to walk or is this a park or reserve with an entrance fee (or free)?

Rudi

:yep: the one on the left looks like an excursion boat. Probably a trip from Bridlington Harbour, around Flamborough Head and up to Bempton Cliffs. The attraction being the sea bird colonies on said cliffs.

The cliff top path is a public footpath, i.e. it's free.

My Sunday outing today was to the RHS gardens at Hyde House.

Can you tell which of these two is me?

Great pics (as always), Ken! Thank you for sharing them. That is marvelously calm sea depicted.

Stuart, I'm certain that's you on the left; but if you don't get enough single malt, you might wind up looking like the one on the left right!

You must be the one on the right because the guy on the left looks far too intelligent to make the mistake of describing where he'd been as Hyde House when, [pedantry]actually, he was at Hyde Hall[/pedantry].

Well, if we're going to be pedantic, I wasn't at a house or a hall, I was just in a garden.

Rudi, you have to have one heck of a strong pair of eyes or a great sense of imagination.
WHAT BOATS?
I assume you also see the aircraft towing an advertising sign?

LOL... I didn't see any aircraft, but I also missed the wind turbines on the horizon.

Thanks Ken. :thankyou:
We had a week's holiday back in 1953 and again in 1954 at Billy Butlin's,the Filey camp. And I revisited this area in 1998.
Sigh!
Memories.
Back in the days when I had a full head and all my teeth. :thankyou:
Cheers
Chris
