The conversation went something like:
Scientist "Jerry, habber nanchoo westablee open source fribbledy seaty co?"
I decided to hang on in there in blind hope that I would comprehend the person, it continued...
Scientist "We need a sconshoy haddly schoondal database jeemmopa"
Me "OK" (head spinning)
Scientist "Thanks haddleree poing"
My DBA turned to me and asked "What the hell did she say?" I replied "God knows, if it is important they'll be back"
Later today we got an email from the said scientist thanking us for our helpful and speedy response to her issue. We still have no idea what was said or what we did to get this accolade!

Re: Double talk
It just reconfirms the old saying; If you leave a problem alone, it resolves itself.
