NASA;s Wallop launch

Post by ChrisGreaves »

NASA Video
NASA's colorful clouds light up the sky
NASA Wallops Rocket Launch Lights up the Mid-Atlantic Coast
It's not even sixty years since I watched a little bright light bop across the desert sky.
Now I am treated to four(!) simultaneous views of a payload being "whatever they do once it is in orbit", from the comfort of my laptop.

I need a cuppa and a lie-down ...

Maybe it's to simulate the launch and payload deposit?

It's a throwback to those early Viking Rockets that sometimes got twenty feet above the launchpad. Rumour had it that is was always traced to a misplaced comma or full-stop in the COBOL program code.
I thought to use one of each, just to be on the safe side, Viking! :flee:
Cheers
