Pre-dirtied jeans

Post by HansV »

From a company named Nordstrom:
Heavily distressed medium-blue denim jeans in a comfortable straight-leg fit embody rugged, Americana workwear that's seen some hard-working action with a crackled, caked-on muddy coating that shows you're not afraid to get down and dirty.

Only $425 / £451 / €415 a pair... :hairout:

Imagine you wash it and all the "dirt" comes out!

It'd be a brilliant ad for the detergent!

Seems as if I have a couple of those Designer Nightmares. I didn't pay $424 bucks for them either. About $400 dollars cheaper! My own mud too.

No, send them to me, I'll only charge $100 and you'll get mud from God's Own County, hard to beat that deal I reckon.

So maybe I ought to put my jeans on eBay because they are a treasure! I was thinking of tossing them into the rubbish until I read this post!

If you apply some more mud from your garden, they should easily fetch $400!

At that price you'd want a guarantee that they would NEVER wash clean!

I'm humoured by the description used for these ripped or soiled denims; they go by the name "extremely distressed denim".

:whisper: I wonder if its the trousers that are distressed or the humans wearing them?

Rudi

I'll be distressed when mine fall completely apart. I've worn them for outside work for many years.
This denim jean has been through a lot! I think I paid all of $10 (US) for them and then eventually added in the designer elements without even knowing I was staying in style!
(Sounds like the beginning line to a song...... :hmm: )

Just thought up the next gen jeans genre - "Suicidal Denim". With this model, you pay $500 for "extremely distressed denim". Then you wash them and they come out perfectly clean. Then you feel like topping yourself.
