Cool train video
I like trains but have only been on them a few times. Train service isn't part of our area's transport choices. We see freight trains but there aren't passenger trains available. Anyway, I found this video intriguing!

How this guy finds the time to put all that together...and its quite a commitment to the house... Imagine vacuuming...mowing the lawn...just closing the front door! I doubt this guy has a wife (or she is more "into" trains than he is!!)

Rudi

Maybe his wife is glad that he's involved with train construction rather than something else non-productive!Rudi wrote:How this guy finds the time to put all that together...and its quite a commitment to the house... Since I really don't like sweeping/cleaning, this would be the perfect excuse not to do it! It would be hubby's chore - maybe he could send out a sweeper train!

In which case if you are ever in this part of the world you must the National Railway Museum and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway*Skitterbug wrote:I like trains but have only been on them a few times...]

* Other heritage railways are available, oh and there's a OO gauge model railway in my garage.

Not exactly but during the summer holidays when the boys were out there playing with it other kids would appear, with their father in tow sometimes too.HansV wrote:Are there organized excursions to your garage?

The links to the train info definitely kept me entertained for a bit! I also noted that instruction is offered for digital photo workshops!
Okay, now that you've mentioned your model railway, pictures of it are expected! So start 'tootling' along and 'get 'er done'!
Thanks for the reply!

I'm surprised this thread hasn't deviated onto monorails - they do make for good one-liners.
