Aussie Dick Smith tried to rescue the brand when he released AussieMite in 1999. He also tried to rescue our iconic Redhead matches
when they started being made in Sweden, and seemed to have a use by period of about a week before they would just shatter or not strike! He replaced them with something fairly predictable.
