Very beautifully done; but like the coin stacking...who are these people that have all this time to create these temporary creations?! They should get better hobbies, like interacting on forums.

This kind of carving just amazes me. I'd like to know what tool(s) they use to achieve this. A Dremel, perhaps? With very fine, very sharp bits?
That would make it go a little faster, but it still takes a lot of patience and very precise excising.

The videos I've seen of carving carrots use a pointy, slightly curved knife, like the ones in the lower right corner of your photo. I assume that the broccoli carving was done in a similar way.
