Is celebrating her 75th. birthday today and she still sounds as good as ever, and her German is very good, a requirement to become a Swiss citizen which she is these days.
Just thought you ought to know.

Last time I saw her in Küsnacht (her residental town), shopping, she wasn't wearing fishnets.
Cheers, Claude.

Re: Anna Mae Bullock
So the French and Italian speakers in Switzerland have to learn German, but not the other way around?

Re: Anna Mae Bullock
Nope, if you want to become a Swiss Resident/Citizen in the German speaking cantons, you have to learn German, if you intend to do it in the French speaking cantons, you learn French, and, if you want it in Ticino you learn Italian. I'm not sure which way it goes if you want to reside in the Romansch speaking area, or what happens if you want to live in a town in which they speak French on one side of the road and German on the other side, I've been out of the country for too long.GeoffW wrote:So the French and Italian speakers in Switzerland have to learn German, but not the other way around?

Looks like it, no idea how that happened, normally, if the same post gets posted again there is a message warning users. I'll delete the duplicate post.jonwallace wrote:Is there an echo in here?

Not at all, that's why I mentioned the duplicate posts in my reply so others know what we're talking about.jonwallace wrote:...and now I look stupid(er)...

Oh Claude, we don't need another hero! In fact, what we do need is a private dancer. That will be the best.
