Looks like a sinkhole.
Wonder how long it has been around?

According to the article, the hole was discovered in July of this year.

Having lived in Florida and Texas, I have a smattering of exposure to sinkholes (none causing us damage). I don't think that is a sinkhole because there appears to be material blasted from the crater encircling the hole. I'm going with either a large detonation or the impact of a small asteroid (although the latter seems highly improbable).

Take away all that snow and ice and I bet it's the same size and shape as comet 67P....

Yeah, I wondered about the photo...
But I don't think it looks like a sinkhole.
