Separate cell phone sidewalk

Post by HansV »

The Chinese city of Chongqing has opened a separate sidewalk lane for cell phone users.

There's a problem, obviously:
"Those using their cellphones of course have not heeded the markings on the pavement. They don’t notice them"
A Chinese city is asking smartphone users to walk in their own sidewalk lane

Best wishes,

Adding a few random bollards in the no-phone lane should sort 'em out in a day.

Bollards are too tall and might be caught by peripheral vision. I suggest trip wires at ankle height.

OK, OK.
Put in a treadmill.
With low-profile bollards.
And potholes.
And a tripwire if they make it to the end.
And film it for YouTube.

Maybe StumbleUpon would be more appropriate.
