For a big guy, his pretty light on his feet!
Surely the jogger in purple would see weird movement in his peripheral vision, but not a flinch in looking right....

I really don't mean to be rude or picky (and congrats to the guy for exercising ...) but he looks to be quite good at his routine, suggesting hours of practice, and yet he doesn't look particularly svelte.
Shouldn't the two (hours & svelte) go hand, in a manner of speaking, in hand?

Well Rudi, you've done it again :-
Convinced me.

From now on, no more exercise for me; just custard tarts, or facsimiles thereof, and sedentary activities, like posting stuff on Scuttlebut.
It was one of my ancestors, I believe, who first spoke out against upgrades from four-legged to this two-legged motion nonsense, and an offspring of his who spoke out strongly against automatic upgrades to larger brains, less hair, eyes etc.

That seems eminently suitable for Chris - just load up the treadmill with custard tarts.
Best wishes,
Hans

No nightmares. More like a dream come true.
I'm in Paris checking on the Translinean to make sure that each train really does go to the end of the line.
By Sunday night I should have covered an area roughly (fires up OpenOffice spreadsheet) 30,800 KM2, almost as big as my dad's parish in the Yilgarn.
Right now I'm sitting on my bed uploading images, finishing off my lunch of prawns, cheese and grapes (it was market-day in St Remy-les-Chevreuse) and waiting to go out to supper so that I can come home and eat the pastry I bought at Port Royal.
Hope that helps ...

Bonne nuit, mon capitaine. :munch:

How can I enjoy a lifestyle that sees me walking an average of 13,000 steps a day just to walk off all the fats and sugars that have to be taken on board. It's a vicious circle; the more I eat, the more I walk. Do you have any idea how many pastry shops there are per hundred yards in any town bigger than 1,000 souls?
I can't wait to get back to Toronto and my breakfast of plain rolled oats, lunch of shredded cabbage, and supper of boiled brown rice with a few slices of onion ...    :burp:

Bob, a quick post to apologise for chatting with Rudi about dieting or not.
I am painfully aware that I've probably violated Lounge Etiquette by straying, albeit inadvertently, back towards the topic.
It won't happen again, or I'll eat my words.

I'll be travelling on Monday 29th too, bypassing Paris by some 9000km's (I guess meeting is out of the question  - unless one of Chris's trains does really go to the end of the line.)
