Reminds me of a toddler who discovered a puddle and is innately programmed to step/jump into it no matter what the footwear...

Rudi

If your absence does not affect them, your presence didn't matter.

Yep! You gotta wonder, through, whether this toddler (quaddler? kwoddler? ...) was initially spooked by his/her/its reflection in the water.
Or whether it had been fed some magic mushrooms by some nefarious agent ...

This is really an ELK, which happens to be a member of the "Deer" family.

Of course, the elks.

"The elks live up in the mountains and come down once a year for their annual conventions. And you should see them gathered around the water hole, which they leave immediately when they discover it's full of water. They weren't looking for a water hole. They were looking for an elk o hole. "

Well good luck to them; those elk o hole's are hard to find. Thats why, at the water hole edges you always find a lot of black and brown beers and guinness fowls.

There's nothing worse than a fowl Guinness.

One might also encounter a tequila mockingbird.

Eastern Screech Owls love the water feature (as does almost everyone else in the woods--deer, raccoons, possums, squirrels, bobcats, foxes, cats, ??)

The image was taken during a blackout (of the sun???) since it was only 3:10pm. Did you guys not pay your celestial electric bill?

Good eye, Rudi.
(The time was messed up on the Trail Cam; it was actually 0310.)
