For all the over-aged hippies out there

Post by HansV »

The 8th and last of a series of videos accompanying Weird Al Yankovic's new album: Mission Statement is in the style of 'Suite: Judy Blue Eyes' by Crosby, Stills and Nash.
Best wishes,
Hans

It is absolutely BRILLIANT! One, it's a great comment on CSN&Y's idealism and today's bureaucratic nonsense... two, it's just so funny. If you've ever worked in the corporate world (God bless you), you've heard these inane phrases.

Yes, my wife and I were ticking off the entries on our Bullshit Bingo cards as the song progressed. Weird Al hit every one of them. SYNERGY!

What a remarkably well-sung and -played parody of CSNY and Management Speak!

There may be a better link to a YouTube video, the downside of this being some fly-in advertising text at the bottom left. YMMV.

Thank GOD that I am no longer exposed to such tripe 'tho I see it very frequently in organizations that want to impress their clients (but almost always fail to).

This is just another example of why business schools should stop turning out MBAs and Finance Majors. Heaven forefend.

Think I've heard them all. ( gasp)
When they start using them at an "important" meeting, that's the time for a Micro-Nap, with pen held rigidly in place over a pad of paper.

It's amazing how much actual work you can get done in those sorts of meetings if you have either a pad of paper and a pen or a laptop. As you're busily writing or tapping away, everyone thinks you're taking super notes of the blather that's floating in the air all around you...
