Fly over your head at a very, very low altitude. The A-10 Warthog is known as a tank killer aircraft and likes to fly very low, surprising tanks and other bad guys by popping up over the tree line or hedgerow or sand dune.

Cool! We have training flights come over our farm sometimes--UH60 Blackhawks. Occasionally we see other aircraft but usually it's the Blackhawks. I miss the sound of Hueys, though.

And as for cool demolition...

We see and hear military helo's almost constantly. We get to see the Apache and the Apache Longbow. We rarely see military jets; although when Bush43 was in residence at his ranch near Crawford, Texas (about 40 or so miles North of us) we could see and hear fighters flying high cover. Occasionally they would come to lower altitudes if a private aircraft was drifting too close to restricted air space while flying VFR.

On 9/11/2001, a rancher near Crawford who paid little heed to TV and radio news, took his grandson up in his piper because it was such a beautiful day. He was not aware of the grounding of all aircraft and was flying VFR off his private airstrip on his place. He was only a few miles from Crawford when the F-15s dove on him and crossed above and below wagging their wings. The fighters couldn't fly slow enough to keep pace with him. When he finally turned on his radio, the military pilots were about ready to shoot him out of the sky. He acknowledged their instructions and the fighter flew circles around him escorting him to the Temple airport. At the time, I lived about a mile and a quarter from the runway. The jets made several passes over my back yard flying low enough that I could see the pilots helmet turn in the cockpit as he maneuvered at about 150 feet.

What a day!

I've been known to say a rude word, and even wish a bad thing could happen to somebody, when this happened to me in the Welsh mountains and the Lake District in the UK

Are you referring to when a jet comes from behind and flies over you suddenly giving you a fright by the sound of its engines? Is that a buzz? (I've experienced that myself, but never heard the "buzz" terminology.)

Nah.
I have a program on my computer that has been being demolished feature by feature over the past 25 years. While the version number went from 2.0 to 2013, the basic program is gradually disappearing in a plethora of twaddle used by, perhaps, 0.05% of the population.

P.S. I note that the Lounge Pedant has awoken. Feel free to deal with been being demolished as you see fit.

Hi dave.
I was tempted to say that this (below) old building was not constructed of steel girders, but then, "old" in Toronto, in my area, could mean 1900, and I thing steel was all the rage then.

It's not a controlled demolition de-fabrication, but sliding a building horizontally for about 100 feet/
Look at http://www.chrisgreaves.com//9_21_GrenvilleStreet/index.htm about one-third the way down the page, the photos time-stamped 2014/02/07.

(It's time I updated the page, I know. Construction is above ground level now)

Not in Toronto.
I walk around a lot nowadays, and a few months back I postulated that it is not possible to be anywhere in the downtown core (defined here as south of Bloor Street and between Parliament and Spadina) without being able to see at least one, but more commonly four, construction cranes.

Obviously if you are standing under a verandah all bets are off, but regular walks down the sidewalk; there's always a crane, or at least one of those external construction elevators in view.

From ONE of my windows of the fourth-floor apartment, I can spot four cranes.

Thanks for the link, MisMish.
Got me to thinking that a warthog might actually do a better job (time, money) of demolishing a building than the regular method.
