ZAF is on the Good Hope line.... I have lots of good hope that the bandwidth capacity will be increased soon :laugh:

I like the idea of some cables being "under construction", having seen one of the Public Information films from the late 60s about how submarine telegraph cables are constructed with twisted copper wires and insulated with gutta percha.

That Sky News story is one of the most dubious uses of statistics which I have come across recently, and takes no account of what plan the customers are on. For the slower speeds, all it probably shows is that these users can't get a fibre-to-the-cabinet service and/or are quite some way from their local BT green cabinet, and have the usual 'line-length' problem.

No, I agree with that. however, this was just showing speed and nothing more. Regardless of the "Plan", etc.
