British Pathé
Newsreel archive British Pathé has recently released 85,000 historical films on You Tube. Nothing like total historical immersion.

I love the British Pathe films they always accompany historical drama's to add emphasis and are used in episodes of Poirot etc. I was surprised to see the clip of a bomber crashing into the Empire State building in 1945 because I had never heard of it

Yeah, they crashed into the building--I remember reading about it. It was very cloudy... sadness. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B-25_Empir ... ding_crash" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Three crewmen and 11 people in the building died. An elevator operator survived falling 75 stories!
