Every Spring, we start hearing Chuck Will's Widow...

Yes, it's a bird. No, I most likely will never get a photo of it (once you see how well it blends into the woods, you'll understand). But it has a very interesting call. It's calling right now as I type, as twilight settles down over the hills.

Unusual looking bird with that elongated curved head. Certainly its plumage provides excellent camouflage in the wooded areas so it must be hard to spot. (Good luck with capturing one on the camera. TX for the web page...I was hoping to hear its call, and it really sounds nice!
