The fence looks wood but the iron post stopped the car. We have similar which stopped car rolling down our garden. Driver was unhurt and the post stood firm,

They did! The driver lost control on the road you just get a glimpse of on the right hand side, then jumped the ditch and the fence (but didn't quite make it)

There are endless videos on YouTube about the enthusiasm of rally drivers for crashing their cars in the most spectacular, destructive and expensive way possible, into ditches, stone walls and trees. Example
