The original answer for #5 was Han's answer, but I cannot dismiss your reply Stuart as it is a scientific term too. Well done!

John, I had to look up that term and it has to do with science (on the biology side) so I must accept it as a valid answer
However, I will keep #3 open as there is yet another scientific term that can be extracted from the letter combination.

In light of #3 and #5, it seems that there is no guarantee that additional terms can be constructed, and as shown, even in the same "field" as requested, like science of famous persons names, etc... In future Letter Trails, I will need to consider adding the character count of the terms I am looking for, or provide a clue such as a letter in a specific location to ensure a more expected reply.

Just to let you know; #7 and John's reply to #8 are the solutions, though I'm impressed with Hans's reply for #8 too...quite amazing to pull that length solution from the letter combo.
