Bob, my puzzles are usually gobbled up so quickly that I often try find ways to hide the context of it and provide more of a challenge. In my latest attempt, I provided very little details in the solving of the puzzle, and just hinted in the title with the word "Colours". The idea (as Hans has already revealed) was to find a colour in each sentence. Apologies if I was not clear up front

BTW: I know the expression the other way around: "Red in the morning, shepherds warning, red at night, shepherds delight."
Regards,
Rudi

Hans...quick on the draw as ever.

BTW: I didn't even spot the extra colour in #1. I cannot deny you RED, but there is a second colour in that sentence too.

Rudi

Bob,

If Hans, (or anyone else) does not get to this one first, here is a second attempt on offer, now that you know the context of the puzzle...

Can you find the eleven hidden colours in the following paragraph:

Many injured animals are invited to live at the 'Toronto Range'. Stop in kangaroo corner and marvel at the lovely creatures within. Dig over the potato patch to find small furry caterpillars, but don't yell! Owls can be found swooping for edible rodents, earwigs or perhaps bluebottles in the undergrowth. The brown bear, Rob, lacks grace and may look like an ogre, enter at your own risk! Peacocks can be found showing their colourful wares, which look fantastic when viewed with our ultraviolet torch.
Regards,
Rudi

I always heard it with "sky" after each "red".

We witty youngsters used to amend it as:
"Red sky in the morning, shepherds' warning; red sky at night, turkish delight." (yummy!)

Oh....agreed! The image labeled: Rosewater-flavored Turkish delight is the sort I am used to. You open the box and the powder spills out, then you get the whiff of that sweet familiar aroma and your mouth already starts to water. I have always thought it to be a weird type of sweet/treat, this gelatinous cube with a subtle flavour...but once you eat one, you must have another...and another... :yum:

The original puzzle does indicate the colour red twice, but though it is not mentioned in the introduction, they count the red duplicate only once. So there is one more "hidden" colour in that paragraph.

I think you deserve a :ribbon: and a :trophy: and a :chocciebar: for your efforts.

Yep. That was the actual answer until Hans decided to find another colour in there. It took me a while but after careful thought I considered it to be a fair answer.
