AFAIK, all matter resolves into one of these three categories but each item within the three categories does not necessarily contain all compounds (obviously).

Have you discovered a new category. Brilliant if you have, so we would have Animal, Vegetable, Mineral or Rudi (named after the discoverer - you) :clapping:

This thread has had 1000 1001 questions already, yet we still have 17 to go.
That's a puzzle in itself!

Leif: No. (But it's still in my mind  )
Ruby is still looking at it!

How big is your memory? If it's more than 32-bit, this may take some time....

But, but, but... Based on the time of day you originally posted, could it be a sunset?

If a sunset is tangible, it could have been that. But no, it's not a sunset.

BTW: My memory is as large as several flash drives, and I'm proud of that fact.

So it's tangible, but not vegetable, animal or mineral. I'm stumped.

Congratulations Hans. :chocciebar:
You are the unofficial winner of this most confusing thread.

I was wondering if anyone was going to pick up on that hint.
The answer was indeed a fork.

That after 1007 questions of which only 3 counted. I think this thread is :bagged:

I think we can all reflect on how NOT to play 20 questions......... :groan:

On the positive; I did learn that EVERYTHING is inclusive in animal, mineral or vegetable!

Yeah, but you gave us all a bum steer when it said it wasn't mineral.

This question is disqualified!

And here i thought it was just a song: The General's Song from Gilbert and Sullivan. Go figure!!!

And one of my all time favourites:
Spoiler
Supertramp – The Logical Song

When I was young, it seemed that life was so wonderful,
A miracle, oh it was beautiful, magical.
And all the birds in the trees, well they'd be singing so happily,
Joyfully, playfully watching me.
But then they send me away to teach me how to be sensible,
Logical, responsible, practical.
And they showed me a world where I could be so dependable,
Clinical, intellectual, cynical.

There are times when all the world's asleep,
The questions run too deep
For such a simple man.
Won't you please, please tell me what we've learned
I know it sounds absurd
But please tell me who I am.

Now watch what you say or they'll be calling you a radical,
Liberal, fanatical, criminal.
Won't you sign up your name, we'd like to feel you're
Acceptable, respectable, presentable, a vegetable!

At night, when all the world's asleep,
The questions run so deep
For such a simple man.
Won't you please, please tell me what we've learned
I know it sounds absurd
But please tell me who I am.
Regards,
Rudi
