Nashville gets all the credit but Austin, TX has more performing artists of merit and more music is written, produced, and performed here than in Nashville. Austin probably has 3 performing venues to each 1 in Nashville.

Why . . . Jimmy Buffet even wrote Margaritaville in Austin.
